Functional Medicine Consultations
At 4 Better Health, we practice Functional Medicine with a focus on uncovering nutritional, biochemical, and lifestyle imbalances that may be driving symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, pain, or dependence on medications. We take time to truly listen to each person’s unique story, connecting the dots to reveal the bigger picture of health. Using advanced, science-based testing, we search for underlying deficiencies or hidden triggers that keep the body from thriving. Our recommendations are always tailored to the individual—whether through lifestyle changes, optimizing digestion, using food as medicine, or supporting detoxification—to improve nutrient absorption and restore energy, support resilience, longevity and vitality
Initial Consultation
Your healing journey begins with a comprehensive initial visit, held in person at our Hopkinton office. *Unless you are in Florida at the time of your consultation as our practitioners have full licensure for Telehealth with Florida residents*.
Before scheduling, we require you to complete and submit a detailed health history form to help us ensure we are able to support you and to prepare for your time with us.
Your first appointment—lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours—gives us the time to dive deeply into your health story. Together, we’ll review your history, current symptoms, and any prior treatments or lab results while beginning to connect patterns that may explain what you’re experiencing. By the end of this visit, you’ll receive a personalized Functional Medicine testing plan along with your initial recommendations, which may include tailored nutrition, lifestyle strategies, and supplement support.
Note: Once established, you may choose to do follow-up appointments by phone or telehealth, if clinically appropriate and more convenient for you.
First Follow-Up Appointment
Your initial follow-up visit usually takes place 2–4 weeks after your initial appointment. During this session, we’ll review your test results, discuss how the first set of recommendations have been working for you, and map out the next phase of your care. These appointments typically last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
Ongoing Follow-Up Appointments
As your health improves, we’ll schedule ongoing visits every 2–4 months to keep your progress moving forward. These check-ins provide an opportunity to review your results, fine-tune your care plan, and continue working toward lasting wellness and vitality. Follow-up appointments typically last 30–60 minutes.
