Are you ready 4 Better Health & Vitality?

Sublinguinal Immunotherapy * 4 Your Allergies

Allergy Symptoms?

Safe, effective, needle-free treatment—we help your body retrain its immune response, so you can build tolerance instead of just managing symptoms.

One of the biggest benefits of allergy drop treatment is it’s safe for people who don’t tolerate or aren’t candidates for allergy shots. Allergy drops can safely treat those with other conditions such as asthma, food and mold allergies.

If you’ve been quietly suffering with allergies, food sensitivities, or histamine intolerance—maybe for years—you’re not alone, and you are not imagining it. Whether it’s chronic congestion, digestive issues, fatigue, or flare-ups from foods you used to love, these symptoms can feel isolating and exhausting. But they don’t have to be your “normal.”

Allergy Drops Work in 3 Phases

Blue Number Graphic

Phase 1: Initial Oral Tolerance (0-3 months)

As your body adjusts to treatment, symptoms can improve. Those with minor oral itching will see it lessen as tolerance begins.

Blue Number Graphic

Phase 2: Symptom Relief (3 months-2 years)

As symptoms decrease, your body begins changing your allergen tolerance. If tempted to stop treatment because you feel better, don’t. By continuing treatment, your body learns long-term tolerance.

Blue Number Graphic

Phase 3: Long Term Tolerance (2-5 years*)

As symptoms improve, your body increases its allergy tolerance. This long-term learning is needed to stay symptom-free long after treatment is done. Your doctor will determine the final length of treatment.

*May take longer for complex/food allergies

What Is SLIT?

SLIT (Sublingual Immunotherapy) uses tiny, customized doses of allergens—placed under your tongue—to help your immune system gradually stop overreacting. It’s safe, effective, and can be done from the comfort of home. The difference is that the antigen is placed under your tongue in a customized liquid form. Learn how allergy drops work.

We treat more than just seasonal pollen. SLIT can address:

  • Food sensitivities and allergies (like dairy, eggs, wheat, and more)
  • Histamine intolerance
  • Mold and dust allergies
  • Pet dander
  • Environmental triggers like trees, grasses, and ragweed
  • Multiple or complex allergy cases

Not sure about starting allergy drop treatment?

Three good reasons to start now

Are you debating whether to start sublingual immunotherapy (allergy drops) for your allergies? Here are the three most common reasons patients hold off, and why you should think twice about delaying treatment.

"My allergy symptoms aren't that bad"

You may feel fine now, but think of how you feel during your peak season. How many days of school or work do you miss due to your allergy symptoms? How many days will you feel less than your best?

That’s not all. Allergy can worsen or cause a variety of conditions including:

  • Asthma
  • Sinusitis
  • Eczema
  • Headaches

If you’re struggling with any (or many) of these conditions, allergy may be the trigger, and treating the cause could improve your quality of life and get you back to work or school with less symptoms.

  • 80% of sinusitis cases are due to a mold allergy.
  • 75% of people reported less time away from work or school after successful treatment.

"I don't want to pay out of pocket"

Custom allergy drops may cost less than prescription and OTC medications that only mask your symptoms temporarily and you can use FLEX or HSA dollars to cover the cost. Consider the cost of nasal sprays, antihistamines, eye drops, inhalers and skin creams to manage your allergy-related conditions. Now think about taking a treatment that can reduce or eliminate your need to take these meds long term.

Though traditional allergy treatment may be covered by insurance, frequent office visits, related time away from work or school, and copays can add up quickly.

"I'll take over-the-counter meds"

OTC medications mask the symptoms; they don’t treat the cause of the allergy. That means you may have to take them year after year to manage your symptoms. Think about that cost over a lifetime.

Allergy drops train the body to not react to offending allergens over three to five years of treatment. Typically, once your body builds long-term tolerance, treatment is done.

  • 50% of people experience less allergy-related medication use after successful treatment.
  • 97% of patients report they stay adherent with at-home treatment.
The sooner you start treatment, the sooner you could start putting an end to your suffering.

FAQs

Can I order allergy drops from you?

Allergy drops are prescriptions; therefore, a licensed prescriber must order and will monitor your treatment progress and dose based on your progress. Contact your provider to order your prescription. If you are interested in Allergy SLIT therapy, please fill out our online health history form and ask for an appointment with Sophia DaRosa-Spillane, NP.

Insurance companies may cover the cost of office visits and diagnostic testing. Because allergy drops are an off-label use of FDA-approved antigens, they are not typically covered by insurance. Check with your carrier first.

Allergy drops do qualify for Health Savings Account or Flex Spending reimbursement. Even without insurance coverage, most patients find treatment affordable and comparable to other medication or visit co-pays. Most patients agree that the temporary investment in allergy drops is well worth the lasting results and improvement in their quality of life.
